What is VET?

Vocational Education and Training (VET) is an integral part of the West Australian Education system and enables students to gain specific skills to help them in the workplace.

At Manea, students can access a wide range of qualifications to many industries and employment settings.

VET provides you with industry skills to join the workforce; gain an apprenticeship or traineeship or assist in alternative pathway entry to university. A VET course is a great way to fast track your skills development and education whilst in secondary school.

Manea Senior College offers pathway opportunities for students to attain one or more VET qualifications during Year 11 and 12. Our students achieve WACE graduation with employability skills and industry knowledge in their chosen field of study.

Bunbury Regional Trade Training Centres (BRTTC) are purpose built, industry standard facilities that operate over three sites – Bunbury Catholic College, Eaton Community College and Manea Senior College.

The learning environment at Manea Senior College really helped me develop academically and personally. Manea offers a ‘hands on’ approach to learning and the ability to combine my TAFE studies alongside the Year 12 curriculum gave me the confidence to continue my studies at university. I am grateful to the supportive staff and have friendships that will last a lifetime. Sally Barnsby - 2015 graduate
